The MIPIM property summit is approaching fast, and the team of public and private sector organisations – including BCS Public Relations – assembled to fly the flag for Nottingham are working furiously to make sure they do the best possible job for the City. MIPIM is a pivotal event for attracting national and international investment, and ‘Team Nottingham’ is determined to leave the most important event on the calendar with its bags packed full of success.

2010 will be an especially critical year for Team Nottingham, with some of the City’s most prestigious buildings open for investment. In a move to improve services and the council’s efficiency, Nottingham City Council will be relocating from a number of key city centre sites to Loxley House in Nottingham’s new business district the Southside. Promoting these buildings as excellent investment opportunities will be the main focus for the team during the four day summit held in Cannes. The six sites are sure to be much sought after, but investors must show they will be put to good use, as Director of Workplace Strategy and Property for Nottingham City Council, Councillor Geoff Hibbert explains:

“The six council buildings are on some of the most prominent and prestigious sites in the City. They are part of an exciting portfolio of opportunities for investors and developers who have already secured agreements with potential end users and who can guarantee new jobs or relocations. Nottingham City is open for business and is very keen to encourage innovation and excellence by providing a strong framework of support to prospective partners

The City will use MIPIM to showcase its commitment to change, the ambition it has and the developments that have already delivered considerable success.”

The Southside business district will also be heavily promoted at the show, along with the overall benefits of investing in Nottingham. Lawyers, marketers, builders, commercial property agents, architects, engineers from the City and beyond will all come together to present a united front in order to demonstrate to investors that Nottingham has all the infrastructure and expertise to make investment attractive.
